Māori, medicines adherence and minor ailments
In a first-of-its-kind research collaboration, the Māori Pharmacists Association has partnered with Māori-led Primary Health Organisation, the National Hauora Coalition to conduct a multi-phase, mixed methods, kaupapa Māori research that combines quantitative and qualitative data to explore how the Pharmacist Minor Ailment Service (PMAS), can support equitable access to medicines and to undertand Māori experiences and drivers of medicines adherence and non-adherence.
It is intended that this study could be used to inform health intervention and service development in the future. Check out the published research below and keep checking back as this research develops into clinical practice for pharmacists!
